He has earned the designation Fellow of the Real Estate Institute of Canada (FRI), one of the highest designations attainable in the Canadian real estate industry.
Professor Ron Hopp

Ron Hopp received his B.Ed. from the University of Alberta in 1964, and his LL.B with distinction in 1971. He was awarded the Distinguished Service Award for Pro Bono Legal Services by the Law Society of Alberta in 2005, and the Canadian Bar Association in 2007. Currently, Professor Hopp serves as a Professor in the Faculty of Law at the University of Alberta. |

After all the long hours in managing and owning a restaurant business, in 1989 Mr. Yee changed his career into the Life Insurance business. David was then appointed a management position until 1993 with Sun Life Financial Inc. of Canada. For almost 10 years of Life Insurance experience, David noticed a commonality about people in general. Most consumers wanted to invest their money into something that simply ensured a solid growth rate, instead of having to purchase a product in order to protect their family’s future.
In the year 2000, Mr. Yee took this found knowledge and was offered an opportunity by a Calgary based land banking company to become a manager in their Edmonton division. Due to the crisis of September 11th, the Calgary based company was not interested in dealing with any business from the middle east. As a result, this was an incentive for David & his partner Syed Ahmed to start their own company to be able to provide an equal opportunity for all cultures, of any race.
After months of business planning, David Yee & Syed Ahmed officially formed S & D International Group Inc. in April 1, 2002. In addition to S&D’s business philosophy, “treat others the same way you would like to be treated”, David strongly believes in “under-promising and over-delivering” and has thus brought S & D’s success to new heights.
Mr. Syed Ahmed

Having worked in a managerial position in sales for various companies, Mr. Syed developed a new vision for a company that allows retail investors to be part of the real estate development process, once a league only for the privileged.
Mr. Ahmed developed the UDI interest free concept along with his partners and there upon launched it into the market in 2002. S & D has crossed many milestones since.
Mr. Stephen Yee
Development and Planning Director
Stephen Yee has been in real estate development since 1987. He, along with family, is part owner of the development side of S & D International Group Inc. and also leads S & D International Development Group Ltd. During his 20 years of real estate experience, he was primarily involved in strategic planning, marketing and investment analysis and management of several large-scale projects. Mr. Yee’s extensive list of his accomplishments include the Shanghai Concord World (Ville Enrose) - a major residential project in Shanghai, with Concord group, one of the largest Hong-Kong based companies, Shanghai Cannes - over 18,000,000 square feet of residential area development and Yuan Hong City, Fuzhou - a 6.5 million square feet residential and commercial retail project. Prior to working at S & D, Mr. Stephen Yee has worked as senior manager and consultant in multiple international and listed companies. |
